The Safety and Wellness Program began with Traci Marlin’s and Dr. Chris Allen’s dream to create an organization that went to the all of the Midway ISD campuses from elementary to middle school and discuss in depth a number of issues that plague students across the district. Their hope was to find an organization that was energetic, confident, highly visible, and wasn’t afraid to step up to the demands the program had to offer.
 
Last year, the Blue Crew and Panther Patrol answered the call and stepped up to try and make a difference in the lives of students here at Midway. During this first year, the organization put on a thirty-minute performance at South Bosque dealing with the issue of bullying. After many hours of hard work, the Blue Crew and Panther Patrol’s first inaugural Safety and Wellness Presentation was a huge success and well received.
 
This year, the Blue Crew and Panther Patrol Organization is looking to expand its reach and spread its message to all of the elementary campuses across Midway. As this program continues to grow, it is our hope and mission to expand the range of topics we present in an effort to reach more students and make a larger impact on this great District.
